Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
To ensure the long-term sustainability of Springfest, we are implementing a multi-pronged strategy focused on revenue
generation, cost recovery, and strategic partnerships. While the event is free and open to the public, we have built in scalable
components that will allow us to grow responsibly while maintaining a high-quality guest experience.
Event Sponsorships: We will continue to pursue event sponsorships from regional businesses, hospitality partners, and lifestyle
brands. Sponsors receive promotional visibility through signage, digital media, and event materials. As the event grows, we will
offer tiered sponsorship packages that include naming rights, VIP activations, and co-branded marketing opportunities—creating
a mutually beneficial model that supports both the event and local commerce.
Vendor Participation Fees: Food and beverage vendors, artists, and retail participants contribute through participation fees,
which help cover infrastructure and marketing expenses. These fees are scaled to ensure accessibility while supporting
operational needs.
In-Kind Contributions: We will continue to leverage in-kind support from community partners for services such as volunteer
staffing, equipment rentals, and promotional services. These contributions reduce overhead and strengthen local engagement.
Integration with Suncadia’s Hospitality Strategy: Springfest is integrated into Suncadia’s broader hospitality and real estate
marketing strategy, allowing us to utilize existing budgets and promotional channels to drive attendance and offset costs.
This alignment ensures consistent visibility and long-term investment in the event’s success. By combining these strategies,
Springfest is positioned to become a self-sustaining, signature spring festival that
supports tourism, local business growth, and cultural enrichment in Kittitas County.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 4
6| Additional Information
Response 6.1: Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
Suncadia Springfest is uniquely positioned to boost tourism in Kittitas County by filling a gap in off-season events that appeal to
environmentally conscious travelers and families. Its focus on conservation, sustainability, and hands-on learning distinguishes it
from traditional festivals, attracting a diverse audience seeking meaningful and educational experiences.
By aligning with Suncadia’s reputation for outdoor recreation and partnering with local conservation organizations, Springfest
ensures broad appeal and long-term success. Its strategic timing during off-peak periods and collaboration with local businesses
further enhance its potential to generate significant economic impact while fostering community engagement and environmental
awareness.
2500 character limit
Response 6.2: You may upload any supporting documents such as graphs, images, diagrams, marketing materials, etc.
You are allowed to submit up to 3 single page (US Letter) documents in JPG, PDF or TIFF format
SpringFeset RECAP 2024.pdf 804.35KB
7| Previous Lodging Tax Grant Information
Response 7.1: Has your event received Lodging Tax funds in previous years?*
No, this event/project has not previously received Lodging Tax Funding
Yes, 1 year previous
Yes, 2 years previous
Yes, 3 years previous
Yes, 4 or more years previous
Response 7.2: Overall Attendance *
Past Actual *Projected *
