Response 3: Describe how you will promote your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
4| Collaboration
Response 4.1: If your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events,
how is this accomplished?*
Our main audience includes cultural tourists, arts enthusiasts, and day-trippers that gravitate towards our classes, exhibitions,
and events but may not necessarily know about Gallery One’s ongoing work in these areas.
Our secondary audience is primarily comprised of individuals who are traveling/staying for non-arts purposes but would have an
interest in the artistic and cultural offerings of Gallery One. “We had no idea that Ellensburg had such a beautiful downtown core
of art galleries and local shops!” is a comment frequently spoken in the Gallery. These are folks who may find themselves in the
area for other reasons: fishing, outdoor hiking, work meetings, etc. and (especially folks on the Westside) would listen to stations
like KEXP and feel attracted to our events and offerings.
Through the use of funds, we will seek to invite these audiences to our Gallery through print media, like The Comet Magazine
and The Stranger. Radio advertising would include NWPB and KEXP. Online examples would include social media and website
advertising. Cultural organization examples would include the Frye, Pilchuk, Museum of Northwest Arts and Culture, Washington
State Arts Commission, Cascadia Art Museum, Wenatchee Valley Museum, etc. Talent fees for artists and performers include
out-of-town independent artists, like Claudio Duran (based in Seattle) and Pyth (based in Florida), Northwest Pastel Society
Membership Show, and others. Our WSDOT sign will also be an important means of bringing tourist awareness of Ellensburg
and Kittitas County.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 3
NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL - Accepts/extends North American Reciprocal Museum benefits; includes free admission to 1400+
museums in the US and six countries (www.narmassociation.org) - American Alliance of Museums member, utilized JobHQ for
executive search and contributes to shared resources like the 70k+ member Museum Junction online community.
STATEWIDE - Member/advocacy partner w/ Inspire Washington, Washington Museum Association, & the Upper Columbia
Museum Association; contributed to statewide cultural Advocacy Day in Olympia, Feb. 2025; WaMA event sponsor, June 2025;
and hosted Inspire WA’s Cultural Futures Tour, May 2025 - Participates in advocacy and artist relations w/ Artist Trust & the
Washington State Arts Commission.
