Response 4.2: Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County *
Response 4.3: Is there a host hotel for your event or grant project? If yes, list the hotel.*
5| Future Plans
The Downtown Cle Elum Association (CEDA) actively promotes lodging, restaurants, and businesses in Kittitas County through
a combination of digital, event-based, and partnership strategies.
While we are still building formal relationships with traditional lodging facilities, data from booking websites and Placer Labs
geofencing informs our strategies, including booking trends, occupancy rates, and visitor travel patterns. Currently, lodging
within a 1-mile radius of downtown Cle Elum is often fully booked during major events, with occupancy at establishments within
5 miles ranging from 75%–100%. In 2025, CEDA has strengthened collaboration with local VRBOs, Airbnb hosts, and
campgrounds, integrating their data to better understand accommodation trends.
Marketing and Event Integration:
CEDA promotes lodging, dining, and retail partners through social media, email campaigns, event maps, and Visitor Center
resources.
Signature events—Pioneer Days, Boo-Elum, and Christmas in Cle Elum—feature participating restaurants and lodging options,
encouraging visitors to explore local businesses and stay overnight.
Printed rack cards and QR codes distributed in downtown businesses and regional travel corridors provide easy access to
lodging and dining information.
Partnerships and Community Outreach:
We collaborate with Roslyn and Ellensburg Downtown Associations, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, and regional
tourism partners to cross-promote county businesses and direct visitors to additional attractions.
Co-marketing with local businesses and lodging providers—including social media amplification and event promotions—
enhances visibility and drives tourism while maintaining budget efficiency.
CEDA also provides expertise on heritage assets and historic preservation, linking cultural tourism with local business
promotion.
Through these strategies—data-informed planning, targeted marketing, collaborative partnerships, and event integration—CEDA
promotes Kittitas County lodging, restaurants, and businesses, increases overnight stays, and strengthens the overall visitor
experience.
2500 character limit
No
Yes
