General: Include the Milestones specified herein as a part of the Progress <br />Schedule. <br />B. Project Milestones: Described in the Agreement Form. <br />1.06 WORK SEQUENCING/CONSTRAINTS <br />A. Include the following work sequences in the Progress Schedule: <br />1. The transfer station will remain in operation during construction. <br />1.07 FACILITY OPERATIONS <br />A. Continuous operation of Owner’s facilities is of critical importance. Schedule <br />and conduct activities to enable existing facilities to operate continuously, <br />unless otherwise specified. <br />B. Perform Work continuously during critical connections and changeovers, and <br />as required to prevent interruption of Owner’s operations. <br />C. When necessary, plan, design, and provide various temporary services, <br />utilities, connections, temporary piping and heating, access, and similar items <br />to maintain continuous operations of Owner’s facility. <br />D. Do not disturb any existing trees or shrubs without prior approval by the <br />Owner, regardless if shown on Drawings, to require removal. <br />E. Do not close lines, open or close valves, or take other action which would <br />affect the operation of existing systems, except as specifically required by the <br />Contract Documents and after authorization by Owner and Contractor. Such <br />authorization will be considered within 48 hours after receipt of Contractor’s <br />written request. <br />F. Refer to Article Work Sequencing/Constraints. Construct Work in stages to <br />facilitate for the specified sequence and constraints. <br />G. Process or Facility Shutdown: <br />1. General: Provide 5 days advance written request for approval of need to <br />shut down a process or facility to Owner and Contractor. <br />2. Power outages will be considered upon 48 hours written request to <br />Owner and Contractor. Describe the reason, anticipated length of time, <br />and areas affected by the outage. Provide temporary provisions for <br />continuous power supply to critical facility components.
