Existing Work: <br />1. Survey the Site and examine Drawings and Specifications to determine <br />the extent of the Work before beginning any demolition activities. <br />2. Take necessary precautions to avoid damage to existing items scheduled <br />to remain in place, to be reused, or to remain the property of Owner; any <br />Contractor-damaged items shall be repaired or replaced as directed by <br />Engineer. <br />B. Protection of Personnel: During demolition, continuously evaluate the <br />condition of the pipes and excavation areas being demolished and take <br />immediate action to protect operating systems and existing landfill <br />components, including liner systems, in and around the demolition site. <br />3.03 BACKFILL <br />A. Do not use demolition debris as backfill material. <br />3.04 DISPOSITION OF MATERIAL <br />A. Do not remove equipment and materials without approval of Contractor’s <br />Demolition/Renovation Plan by Engineer. <br />END OF SECTION
