The following is a list of standards which may be referenced in this section: <br />1. American National Standards Institute (ANSI): A10.6, Safety <br />Requirements for Demolition Operations. <br />2. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. Code of <br />Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 29 Part 1926—Occupational Safety <br />and Health Regulations for Construction. <br />1.02 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Demolition: Dismantling, razing, destroying, or wrecking of any fixed <br />building or structure or any part thereof. Demolition also includes removal of <br />pipes, manholes tanks, conduit, and other underground facilities, whether as a <br />separate activity or in conjunction with construction of new facilities. <br />B. Modify: Provide all necessary material and labor to modify an existing item to <br />the condition indicated or specified. <br />C. Relocate: Remove, protect, clean and reinstall equipment, including electrical, <br />instrumentation, and all ancillary components required to make the equipment <br />fully functional, to the new location identified on the Drawings. <br />D. Renovation: Altering a facility or one or more facility components in any way. <br />E. Salvage/Salvageable: Remove and deliver, to the specified location(s), the <br />equipment, building materials, or other items so identified to be saved from <br />destruction, damage, or waste; such property to remain that of Owner. Unless <br />otherwise specified, title to items identified for demolition shall revert to <br />Contractor. <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Informational Submittals: Submit proposed Demolition/Renovation Plan, in <br />accordance with requirements specified herein, for approval before such Work <br />is started.
