If Contractor orders the Work suspended, continue to control erosion, <br />pollution, and runoff during the shutdown. <br />M. Nothing in this section shall relieve Contractor from complying with other <br />Contract requirements. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Informational Submittals: <br />1. When a SWPPP Plan is included in the Drawings, either adopt or <br />modify the SWPPP Plan. Provide a schedule for SWPPP Plan <br />implementation and incorporate it into Contractor’s progress schedule. <br />Obtain Engineer’s approval of the SWPPP Plan and schedule before any <br />Work begins. <br />2. Modified SWPPP Plans shall meet all requirements of the applicable <br />jurisdictions. <br />3. The SWPPP Plan shall cover all areas that may be affected inside and <br />outside the limits of the Project (including all Owner-provided sources, <br />disposal sites, and haul roads, and all nearby land, streams, and other <br />bodies of water). <br />4. Allow at least 5 working days for Engineer to review any original or <br />revised SWPPP Plan. Failure to approve all or part of any such Plan <br />shall not make Owner liable to Contractor for any Work delays. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GEOTEXTILE <br />A. Geotextiles shall consist only of long chain polymeric fibers or yarns formed <br />into a stable network such that the fibers or yarns retain their position relative <br />to each other during handling, placement, and design service life. At least <br />95 percent by weight of the material shall be polyolefins or polyesters. The <br />material shall be free from defects or tears. Geotextile shall also be free of any <br />treatment or coating which might adversely alter its hydraulic or physical <br />properties after installation. <br />2.02 INLET PROTECTION <br />A. As specified under Article Geotextile. <br />2.03 PLASTIC COVERING <br />A. Clear plastic meeting requirements of ASTM D4397 for polyethylene sheeting <br />having a minimum thickness of 6 mils.
