KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT <br />Maintenance <br />MEETING DATE: 1/12/2026 <br />TOPIC: Request Boards approval for Director to sign Energy Management Plan. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Boards approval to sign Energy Management Plan. <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Board of County Commissioners' approval for the <br />Facilities and Waste Operations Director to sign the Energy Management Plan. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: The county has received a grant from the Department of <br />Commerce to perform an Energy Audit, Life cycle analysis, and an Energy Management <br />Plan. With these reports we will meet the first phase of the State of Washington clean <br />building standards. McKinstry completed the energy audit and prepared the energy <br />management plan for the county. In preparing the plan they confirmed that the <br />Courthouse and Detention facilities fall into the tier two clean buildings standards <br />moving forward. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: This project is 100% grant funded. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Energy Management Plan and Energy Audit. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />Solid Waste "Special Meeting Staff Report", 2/21/2024 <br />
