BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2026- ()� o p <br /> AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL SALE OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT 925 INDUSTRIAL WAY ELLENSBURG, WA, AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S SIGNATURE <br /> ON THE PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT AND CLOSING DOCUMENTS <br /> WHEREAS: Kittitas County Solid Waste owns the real property located at 925 Industrial <br /> Way, Ellensburg, WA 98926, parcel No. 078533 ("the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS: On January 20, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners declared the <br /> property to be surplus of the County's needs; and <br /> WHEREAS: RCW 39.33.010 authorizes the state or any municipality or any political <br /> subdivision thereof, to sell real property to the state or any municipality or <br /> any political subdivision thereof on such terms and conditions as may be <br /> mutually agreed upon by the proper authorities of the state and/or the <br /> subdivisions concerned; and <br /> WHEREAS: The City of Ellensburg is interested in purchasing the property from <br /> Kittitas County; and <br /> WHEREAS: The City and the County tentatively agreed to a purchase price of$460,000 <br /> (subject to approval by City Council and the Board of County <br /> Commissioners), which the Board of County Commissioners represents is <br /> a reasonable and adequate price to sell the property "as-is" for, which said <br /> price was determined by an appraisal; and <br /> WHEREAS: On February 10, 2026, after due notice, a public hearing was held to discuss <br /> selling the property to the City, and whether the sale is in the interest of the <br /> County. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Kittitas County Board of <br /> Commissioners finds that it is in the best interest of the County to sell the property located <br /> at 925 Industrial Way, Ellensburg, WA 98926, parcel No. 078533, to the City of <br /> Ellensburg. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br /> County, Washington, does hereby authorize Chair signature on the Property Sale <br /> Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A, or a substantially similar Property Sale <br /> Agreement, and to sign any other documents necessary to complete the sale. <br />
