KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> Courthouse RM 201 , ELLENSBURG <br /> Public Meeting <br /> TUESDAY 6: 00 PM January 13, 2026 <br /> Board members present: Bruce Coe, Judith Jackson, Warren Taylor, <br /> and Bill Hinkle . <br /> Absent: Pat Deneen, Joseph Pearson and Scott Carlson <br /> Others : Chad Bala, Jeremy Johnston, Jessica Miller, Clerk and <br /> two (2) members of the public . <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6: 00 P.M. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - Roll Call <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 min. time limit) <br /> There were no citizen comments . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER JACKSON moved to approve the minutes from the <br /> December 9th and December 15th. COMMISSIONER TAYLOR seconded. <br /> Discussion - none . Motion passed. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> ELECTION OF 2026 CHAIRMAN AND VICE-CHAIRMAN <br /> COMMISSIONER TAYLOR made a motion to nominate Bruce Coe as <br /> Chairman. COMMISSIONER JACKSON seconded. There were no other <br /> nominations . COMMISSINER HINKLE made a motion to nominate Warren <br /> Taylor as Vice-Chairman. COMMISSIONER JACKSON seconded. There <br /> were no other nominations . Discussion - none . Motions passed. <br /> DISCUSS - 2026 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN/CAO AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION <br /> UPDATE SCHEDULE <br /> CDS DIRECTOR CHAD BALA presented the proposed schedule for the <br /> next 5 months, starting in February, for the Periodic Update <br /> schedule . On February 10th, we will start our Comprehensive Plan <br /> regulations review. This will be a joint meeting with the Board <br /> of County Commissioners . Staff has also reserved February 11th <br /> and 12th as continuation dates for the review. The meeting <br /> location will be at the Armory. Staff has received the complete <br /> Comprehensive document; they will start reviewing it so that <br /> staff can get it back to the consultants next week. The goal is <br /> 2026-1-13 MINUTES 1 <br />
