02/02/2026 MINUTES 3 <br />At 10:02 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken. <br /> <br />UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to list evaluation dates for each Department Head <br />on the BoCC White Boards for 2026. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of February 2, 2026, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: Flyer for KCCD & <br />Fire Dist. #6 regarding improving defensible space around homes and <br />financial assistance for the cost of thinning and limbing trees and <br />shrubs; Kittitas County Fair is looking for designs to be submitted <br />for the 2026 Fair Poster – Deadline 2/20/2026; Flyer from Field and <br />Stream – Online hunting and fishing license tutorial. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2026 <br />were determined during a Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting and they will continue to provide updates at future <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz stated that she has asked the County LTAC to <br />consider assisting with the change order shortfall for the Rodeo <br />Grandstands project, and she will report back once they meet. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz questioned if either of the other Board <br />members had heard anything from Department of Ecology in preparation <br />of droughts this year. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright provided an update on the industrial land bank bill. <br />He also shared that he had a productive but high-level lunch last <br />week with Grant County PUD and feels things are getting back on <br />track with them. <br />
