3.Workforce Development&Talent Pipeline <br /> Goal:Address workforce challenges through partnership and coordination. <br /> Activities&Metrics: <br /> • Partnered with Central Washington University,Yakima Valley CoLlege, Heritage <br /> University, and Yakima Valley Tech,workforce agencies, and employers on <br /> workforce discussions and initiatives. <br /> • Helped promote 25 job postings or workforce opportunities through Chamber <br /> channels. <br /> • Participated in 60 workforce-related meetings or task groups, including <br /> discussions on: <br /> o Workforce housing <br /> o Childcare availability <br /> o Transportation access <br /> • Supported employer engagement in career awareness and talent retention efforts. <br /> Impact: <br /> Stronger alignment between education,workforce providers, and employers, with <br /> workforce needs elevated as a regional economic development priority. <br /> 4. Convening&Regional Collaboration <br /> Goal: Strengthen coordination across jurisdictions and sectors. <br /> Activities &Metrics: <br /> • Hosted or co-hosted 24 meetings,forums, or roundtables bringing together: <br /> o Businesses <br /> o Local governments <br /> o Economic development and community partners <br /> • Actively participated in Council of Governments discussions and related regional <br /> planning efforts. <br /> • Served as a neutral convener to share business perspectives across city, county, <br /> and regional initiatives. <br />
