The goals and policies of the comprehensive
plans are typically implemented using plans and studies,
projects or physical changes to the community, programs like
services, incentive or educational, support/coordination and
development of regulations .
CLAY WHITE stated that the Board and Planning Commissioners
should consider an annual review of the following:
• Comp Plan Milestones - What should we have achieved by now?
• Building/development permits - Is developing occurring the
way we wanted?
• Staff priorities - What should staff be focusing on outside
of day-to-day operations .
• Funding Opportunities - Are there grants to plan for? Is it
possible to allocate money to an initiative?
B. BREAK-OUT ACTIVITY
CLAY WHITE stated each table will receive 18 cards . The cards
will include the goals and policies, where the goal or policy
originated from, and the cost by dollar signs ($ - $$$$) . The
cost also includes staff time, if required. CDS
DIRECTOR BALA stated that this year' s process is different than
past years, in that staff wants the Board and Planning
Commissioners to know that their input has value and will be
part of the end product .
Board, staff and Planning Commissioners broke out into three
groups for the activity from 6 : 30 pm to 7 : 30 pm.
C.
