integrates artistic skill -building with social -emotional learning (SEL) to support students' <br />personal and emotional growth. The scope includes: <br />Hiring a Contractor: The District will contract with a qualified community arts <br />organization or teaching artist to deliver a specialized curriculum. This curriculum will <br />be based on the Washington State Arts Learning Standards for grades K-12 and the <br />benchmarks for Social Emotional Learning as laid out by Office of Superintendent of <br />Public Instruction. The arts instruction will teach the following: <br />o Emotional Regulation & Mindfulness: Using the creative process (e.g., <br />drawing, painting, sculpting) as a tool for grounding, stress reduction, and non- <br />verbal expression of complex emotions. <br />o Identity & Self -Esteem: Projects designed to help students explore their <br />personal identity, build confidence in their abilities, and develop a sense of <br />agency. <br />o Interpersonal Effectiveness: Collaborative art projects that require <br />communication, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives. <br />Q Purchasing Materials: Acquisition of art supplies and tools necessary to ensure <br />successful delivery of the visual arts curriculum for all participating students. <br />Under Exhibit "B" COMPENSATION <br />Any unspent funds that were to be spent during the 2025 contract year may <br />be carried over to June 30, 2026, and additional funding under this <br />agreement shall also include $4,950 <br />2.
