12/08/2025 MINUTES 2 <br />that she believes there has been some confusion surrounding the <br />intent of the check and felt that following today’s discussion, the <br />Board could move forward. <br /> <br />The Board discussed what Commissioners Wright and Wachsmith were <br />comfortable with regarding any type of celebration and the <br />appropriate timing of any celebrations, such as a ribbon cutting or <br />groundbreaking ceremony. Commissioner Wright stressed that he did <br />not feel any celebration should occur until projects are fully <br />completed. Additional discussion took place regarding the types of <br />community outreach the Board would be comfortable supporting. <br /> <br />Jessica Karraker, LTAC Member, stated that the committee’s intent is <br />simply to celebrate the projects that have been awarded funding and <br />noted that if the check itself is the issue, it could be eliminated. <br /> <br />The Board requested that Amy McGuffin, Chamber CEO, draft proposed <br />language for a press release and an outreach plan for review by the <br />LTAC and the Board of County Commissioners, with the intent to <br />implement at a later date. <br /> <br />Ms. Karraker also suggested holding an additional joint meeting <br />between the Board of County Commissioners and the LTAC to review the <br />press release language and to provide a year-end recap of LTAC <br />accomplishments. She requested that Legal be present for the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The Board agreed to hold a joint meeting to review the press release <br />language developed by the Chamber and to receive a year-end recap <br />from the LTAC. <br /> <br />REAPPOINTMENTS 2026 BOARDS COMMITTEES COMMISSIONS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator, presented and reviewed the <br />2026 requests for reappointment. She stated that the following <br />members had responded and were seeking reappointment: <br /> <br />Reappointment of Steve Russell, Robert Eddings, Amy Cziske, Jarred <br />Fudacz & Ben Kokjer for a 3-year term to the Kittitas County Fair <br />Board, effective 1/1/2026 and to expire 12/31/2028. <br /> <br />Reappointment of Nicole Gessel to the Kittitas County Board of <br />Equalization for a 3-year term, effective 1/1/2026 and to expire <br />12/31/2028. <br /> <br />Reappointment of Pamela Tuggle Miles, Doug Fessler, and Dr. Mark <br />Larson to the Kittitas MH & CD Tax Advisory Board for a 3-year term, <br />effective 1/1/2026 and to expire 12/31/2028. <br /> <br />Reappointment of Hope Isitt and Jason Self to the Kittitas County
