the County during the additional five (5) years. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed as <br />requiring the County to extend the term hereof, or preventing the County, at its option, to <br />conduct a competitive bidding process for years 2031 and beyond, for carnival and related <br />services. However, should the parties choose to extend the contract term as provided herein, for <br />years 2031-2035, it is expected that Licensee will be required to provide capital and operational <br />improvements at the same or greater level for the extended term, as compared to the original, <br />2026-2030 term. <br />(c) The hours of carnival operation shall be determined by the Event Center Director and <br />communicated to Licensee no later than May 15 of each year of this agreement. <br />1.6 Possession. County shall at all times retain full rights of possession and ownership of the <br />Premises, and Licensee's rights of use and occupancy are subject to limitation, suspension, or <br />revocation by the County when the County determines it has a need for the Premises inconsistent <br />with the rights herein granted; provided, the County shall give such notice as is reasonable under <br />the circumstances. <br />II. AMUSEMENT RIDES AND SHOWS <br />2.1 Basic Obligations. Licensee is obligated to bring to the Kittitas Valley Event Center, and <br />cause to be operated during the hours of operation, determined by the Director, a carnival <br />consisting of at least the following minimum amusement rides and shows. Minimum rides and <br />shows are: <br />(a) At least three (3) spectacular rides; <br />(b) At least eleven (11) major adult rides; <br />(i) Each year a Ferris Wheel will be included <br />(c) At least eight (8) kiddie rides. <br />2.2 Kiddie Land Obligation. Licensee will operate a separate carnival facility to be known as <br />"Kiddie Land,,, which will contain amusement rides designed to accommodate small children <br />and/or families. <br />2.3 Amusement Ride and Show Price and Duration. The gross price to be charged for an <br />amusement ride or show shall include any local, state or federal taxes collected by Licensee in <br />connection with selling admission tickets for the amusement ride or show. The gross price <br />charged by Licensee must be approved by the Director as provided for in paragraph 6.4. The <br />duration of each ride shall be not less than three minutes, including loading and unloading. <br />2.4 Tickets. Licensee shall obtain (order and purchase), for all amusement rides and shows, <br />sequentially numbered tickets within each denomination to be sold. The Fair's logo shall be <br />printed on each ticket. Ticket color and format will be determined by Licensee on an annual <br />basis. <br />om <br />
