o On-site visits are allowed, but must be pre-scheduled and are subject to General <br />Contractor permission depending on date and time. All people entering the <br />construction area will be required to wear a construction safety vest and hard hat <br />(must provide your own). <br />▪ Area is currently bare ground though as the old structure has been <br />demolished and the new construction has not yet begun. If Bidder wishes <br />for current photos on the area in real-time, those can be provided upon <br />request. <br />2. Existing Structural Considerations <br />o The design must account for and be compatible with all existing concrete walls <br />and stadia foundations shown on Attachment A in black. These are also shown in <br />blue on Attachment B. The concrete forming the round surface of the foundations <br />will be a minimum of 6’ tall from ground level. <br />3. Roping Boxes <br />o The proposal must include all panels and gates that make up the roping boxes <br />shown on Attachment A and B. <br />o Ropers will enter the roping boxes from the back of the box. <br />4. Timed Event Staging Area Access <br />o The timed event staging area shall remain open; however, the design must include <br />a gate and panel system to provide access from the track (which runs outside the <br />red-marked area in a curved formation). <br />5. Sorting System and Lead-up Alley <br />o The proposal must include a herringbone-style sorting chute system, as shown in <br />the concept design included in Attachment B, or a comparable design, to facilitate <br />efficient sorting and staging of cattle prior to entering the lead-up area. A lead-up <br />alley to the roping chute must also be included. <br />6. Optional Add-Ons <br />o The timed event chute is an option we are considering updating in this project, but <br />we may choose to use our existing Priefert roping chute. We would like to see it <br />listed as an additional add-on option for a later decision. <br />7. Cost Inclusions <br />o The proposal must include all costs associated with: <br />▪ Equipment and material purchase <br />▪ Labor for complete installation <br />▪ Applicable local sales tax <br />8. Project Completion Date <br />o The proposal must guarantee a completion date of July 15, 2026 <br />▪ As general construction of the new grandstands above the pen area will be <br />ongoing throughout 2026, KVEC anticipates careful coordination with the <br />general contractor and commence installation once the pen area is released <br />and ready for work. <br />▪ The current estimated start date is mid-June; however, this is subject to <br />change based on overall construction progress and cannot be guaranteed at <br />this time. If availability is made earlier for installation, that will be <br />communicated and arranged with the bidder. <br />
