12/08/2025 MINUTES 2 <br />• 2027: Bill Essman, Marc Eylar, one vacant position <br />The Chair informed Mr. Worley that he will not be reappointed by the <br />BOCC and thanked him for his many years of service, particularly his <br />contributions to the Yakima River Access Plan. <br /> <br />Revised Terms: <br />• 2025: No expiring terms <br />• 2026: Tom Morris, Gary Berndt, Bridget Wood, Greg Parker <br />• 2027: Bill Essman, Marc Eylar, Emily Smith, Fred Slyfield <br />• The three vacant positions and Mr. Worley’s former position <br />will now carry expiration dates of 2028. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2–0. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to appoint Vincent Pruis, Haley Mercer, <br />Joseph Blazek, and Pat Kelleher to three-year terms beginning <br />January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2028. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2–0. <br /> APPOINTMENT SWAC – RIKKI SCHMITT COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and appoint Rikki Schmitt to <br />the Kittitas County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) to fill <br />the vacant seat of Business with Interest position. Vice-Chairman <br />Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board determined that for the week of December 8, 2025, they <br />would post the following on their Facebook page: a reminder to shop <br />local/small and help out the County’s hometown shops this time of <br />year. They noted they would leave the other two open for now and if <br />something came up they would post it. <br /> UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2025 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br />
