o The timed event chute and the three lead-up pieces are not included in this project <br />scope. These components are already owned and will be incorporated separately. <br />6. Sorting System <br />o The proposal must include a herringbone-style sorting chute system, or a <br />comparable design, to facilitate efficient sorting and staging of cattle prior to <br />entering the lead-up area. <br />7. Cost Inclusions <br />o The proposal must include all costs associated with: <br />▪ Equipment and material purchase <br />▪ Labor for complete installation <br />▪ Applicable local sales tax <br />8. Project Completion Date <br />o The proposal must guarantee a completion date of July 15, 2026 <br />▪ As general construction of the new grandstands above the pen area will be <br />ongoing throughout 2026, KVEC anticipates careful coordination with the <br />general contractor and commence installation once the pen area is released <br />and ready for work. <br />▪ The current estimated start date is in mid-June; however, this is subject to <br />change based on overall construction progress and cannot be guaranteed at <br />this time. If availability is made earlier for installation, that will be <br />communicated and arranged with the bidder. <br /> <br />CONDITION <br />The equipment, materials, and accessories shall meet all Federal and State laws and regulations, <br />including applicable emission standards and meet the minimum specifications or otherwise <br />specify the deviations. <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS <br />Each proposal must include: <br />• Design drawings or concept layout showing proposed configuration <br />• Itemized quote for materials, equipment, and labor <br />• Estimated project timeline including lead times for materials and installation <br />• Company qualifications and relevant experience with livestock handling systems or arena <br />infrastructure <br />• References from similar completed projects <br /> <br />BID SECURITY <br />KVEC will not require a Bid Bond. <br /> <br />DELIVERY <br />The equipment purchased as a result of this Bid solicitation shall be delivered to the KVEC <br />specified site contained within the bid. All responsibility and liability associated with the <br />delivery of the equipment shall be borne by the vendor. Delivery cost should be specified in the <br />bid on Form B. <br />
