<br />2025-10-16 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />5. Personnel Requests Overview (Discussion/Decision) <br />Andrew Yoder presents the personnel requests, reclassifications as well as overlaps for <br />succession purposes for 2026. Commissioner Wachsmith is in favor of the Auditor and Solid <br />Waste/Facility Maintenance overlap. Decisions will be made on Monday, Oct 20th at 10:30am. <br /> <br />6. Vacant Position Update (Discussion) <br />Andrew Yoder from the Auditors’ office in the Finance Department has compiled a list of vacant <br />positions and their impact on the 2026 budget. Discussion was had and a decision will be made <br />on Monday, Oct 20th at 10:30am. <br /> <br />7. Capital Project Requests <br />Departments have submitted their Capital Project request for the 2026 budget year. <br /> <br />Sheriff’s request <br />Generator for $100,000 will come from REET funding. <br /> <br />Commission Cory Wright asked if it was possible to share the Public Works Tractor with the <br />Event Center to delete the need for a new tractor. <br /> <br />Other Project request will be pushed to the Monay Oct 20th meeting at 10:30am. <br /> <br /> <br />8. REET Update- Resolution for Grandstands Commitment (Discussion/Decision) <br />Zack DeHaven request approval for REET funding for the Grandstands Commitment. <br />Resolution authorizing up to $6 Million in funding to be allocated from County REET revenues <br />over the next 10 years. <br />Commissioner Cory Wright made a motion to approve the resolution presented and <br />Commissioner Brett Wachsmith seconded the motion and the motion passed. <br /> <br />9. Other Business <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – RCW 42.30.110(G): To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant <br />for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the <br />public, and when a governing body elects to take final action, hiring, setting the salary of an <br />individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, <br />that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. <br /> <br />The Board entered executive session at 2:15 PM to discuss the performance of a public <br />employee for an anticipated length of 10 minutes. Anticipated action: none. The Board <br />exited executive session at 2:25 PM with no action taken. <br />
