They are also aligned with the Community Health <br />lmprovement Plan (CHIP) and focus on prevention in upper county and Kittitas. <br />CWU Community Clinic <br />Fu n di n g Req u est: 5498,298.00 <br />Average Score: 21-/25 <br />The CWU Community clinic proposed an expansion of their community counseling services. <br />They will continue to offer mental health services to youth and their families within Kittitas <br />County free of charge, which will address gaps in these services in our county. The planned <br />expansion of services would include school psychology graduate students being assigned 3 <br />clients instead of 1 client beginning in2025-26. They will also expand the age range for clinical <br />services. Currently, they are providing services for 12-L7-year-olds. This will be expanded to <br />clients from 5 to 17 years old and their families. The Master of Science in Mental Health <br />Counseling (MHC) program also relaunches this fall bringing 10 additional MHC graduate <br />students that will be assigned both youth and adult clients in 2O26. <br />Why they are being recommended: Not only do they provide a direct service to youth in our <br />county, but they also train future mental-health professionals who may operate in Kittitas <br />County after graduation. <br />HopeSource - Behavioral Health Bridge Program <br />Funding Request: 5357,768.00 <br />Average Score: 22.6/25 <br />HopeSource applied for funding to expand their Behavioral Health Bridge Program. This <br />program is designed to expand services and bridge the gap in access for vulnerable populations <br />such as those experiencing chronic homelessness and income insecurity. This program provides <br />clients with immediate counseling from a licensed provider to combat service shortages and <br />long waiting times. By combining permanent housing and critical support services with <br />behavioral health services, this program aims to empower individuals to reclaim stability and <br />independence. <br />Why they are being recommended: The long wait times in our community are a significant <br />barrier to services and this program can help mitigate the associated risk by offering immediate <br />support for those in need.
