Commissioners in October. This includes an Executive Director, and a formal <br /> hiring process would be held. Tom Uren inquired if the Board of County <br /> Commissioners were the final decision makers on this process and Bryan <br /> Elliott reminded the group that COG is an advisory group. Discussion was <br /> held on the proposed Executive Director position, COG roles, public <br /> facility funding processing/recommendation (s) , ILA review, and next steps <br /> at the October meeting. <br /> DISCUSSION/DECISION: 2025 SMALL CAPITAL DISTRESSED SALES AND USE TAX <br /> APPLICATIONS <br /> Bryan Elliott introduced the topic of the Small Capital Distressed Sales <br /> and Use Tax Applications, provided background and noted that $360, 000 is <br /> allocated for award to said projects . Bryan Elliott and the group reviewed <br /> the scoring submittals and averages for each project. Commissioner Cory <br /> Wright made a motion to fund the Community Development Services application <br /> for $150, 000 independent from this process, as the project has been on the <br /> COG work program and there has been support for the project by all the Fire <br /> Districts . Matthew Lundh seconded the motion. Discussion was held on the <br /> Traffic Model Project application that was submitted by Kittitas County <br /> Public Works and if that project was previously approved to the COG Work <br /> Program as well . Motion Approved. <br /> Rich Elliott made a motion that the City of Cle Elum First Street and Oakes <br /> Avenue project, Kittitas County Department of Public Works Kittitas County <br /> Traffic Model project be funded and the remaining funds be allocated to the <br /> City of Cle Elum Railroad Street Rehabilitation and Truck Route project, as <br /> these were the highest scoring projects . Jeff Adams seconded the motion. <br /> Discussion ensued about the City of Roslyn application for the Feasibility <br /> Study. Richard Hink made a motion to amend the motion to identify the City <br /> of Cle Elum First Street and Oakes Avenue project, Kittitas County <br /> Department of Public Works Kittitas County Traffic Model project and City <br /> of Roslyn Feasibility Study. Jim DeVere seconded the motion. Discussion <br /> ensued regarding process and staying within the identified process for <br /> selecting projects for award. Inquiry was made regarding whether partial <br /> funding would be enough for the City of Cle Elum Railroad Street <br /> Rehabilitation and Truck Route project . Commissioner Cory Wright identified <br /> the City of Ellensburg Fieldhouse Project as an important project to keep <br /> in front of the group. Jeff Adams added that with this being the first time <br /> doing this process, the group move forward with the process as initially <br /> discussed and agreed upon. Jeff Adams commented that adjustments can be <br /> made to the process the next round. Jeff Adams stated that he appreciates <br /> the support for the City of Roslyn project. Richard Hink withdrew his <br /> amended motion. Bryan Elliott summarized the original motion for the City <br /> of Cle Elum First Street and Oakes Avenue project, Kittitas County <br /> Department of Public Works Kittitas County Traffic Model and remaining <br /> 08-20-2025 Minutes 3 <br />
