OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Amy McGuffin introduced Katie Willet as the local Small Business <br /> Development Center (SBDC) Advisor. Katie Willet gave brief background on <br /> herself and shared that SBDC provides business representation at low to no <br /> cost . <br /> Jared Vallejo provided an update on the communication effort with the new <br /> Choose Kittitas County website. Resources have been reviewed and a <br /> framework for flow was developed and will add items such as site selector. <br /> Amy McGuffin shared about `KC' that will help answer questions on the <br /> website and direct individuals to resources . A thirty (30) day window is <br /> open to provide feedback. <br /> Amy McGuffin shared that a roundtable will be presented to invite County <br /> and City staff engaged in economic development as well as the permitting <br /> process to discuss permitting. Amy McGuffin shared the ADO is to report <br /> this information to Department of Commerce. Amy McGuffin asked COG Members <br /> if she can directly reach out to staff or go through COG members . Feedback <br /> was provided to reach out directly but copy COG members . Discussion ensued <br /> regarding what will be reported to Dept. of Commerce, Amy McGuffin shared <br /> that for site selection both permitting and business license information is <br /> to be provided. Chad Bala shared that current laws identify a specific <br /> timeline that permitting is to not exceed. <br /> APPROVAL OF JULY MEETING MINUTES <br /> Bryan Elliott inquired if the group had reviewed the minutes for approval <br /> and if any revisions were needed. Matthew Lundh made a motion to approve <br /> the July meeting minutes as presented. Richard Elliott seconded the <br /> motion. Motion passed. <br /> DISCUSSION/DECISION: KITTITAS COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INTERLOCAL <br /> AGREEMENT AND FRAMEWORK <br /> Bryan Elliott provided information and background on taskforce and work <br /> group for economic development and that COG would become the body providing <br /> oversight for Economic Development. Bryan Elliott stated that an ad-hoc <br /> group would be developed to get subject matter experts to the table and <br /> members from COG agencies would be invited and/or agencies could send a <br /> representative. Bryan Elliott added that funding for Economic Development <br /> would be out of the public facility funds ( . 09) and that the Board of <br /> County Commissioners would make the final decision with this group <br /> implementing the economic development plan. Bryan Elliott shared that the <br /> economic development partnership is supported by an Interlocal Agreement <br /> (ILA) which outlines structure and roles .
