2025 Land Development Code <br />Enabling Ordinance Page 4 <br />October 7, 2025 <br /> <br />2025-03 <br />Kittitas County Proposal: <br />Amendment to update KCC 17.08 and 17.15 to create consistency with HB 1337. <br /> <br />The proposed amendment will align Kittitas County regulations with the requirements of HB 1337. <br />The amendment will remove the “Accessory Living Quarters” use from Title 17 and reassign the use <br />under the “Accessory Dwelling Unit” definition. Minimum lot sizes for ADU development in <br />LAMIRD and Urban Growth Areas will be removed. Redevelopment of legally established structures <br />into ADU’s will be permitted regardless of non-conforming setbacks. <br /> <br />I. The Planning Commission recommended approval to the Board of County <br />Commissioners with a vote of 4-0. <br />II. The change will ensure consistency with HB 1337. <br />III. No public testimony was received for this proposal. <br /> <br />2025-04 <br />Kittitas County Proposal: <br />Amend KCC 12 to add eight standard plans to Article XI as well as several changes that reference the <br />new plans. <br /> <br />The proposed amendment will adopt “standard plans” associated with amendments approved during he 2024 <br />annual docket cycle. These plans were intended to be included in the 2024 update but were inadvertently left <br />out. <br /> <br />I. The Planning Commission recommended approval to the Board of County <br /> Commissioners with a vote of 4-0. <br />II. The change will complete changes made in 2024 under Ordinance 2025-001. <br />III. No public testimony was received for this proposal. <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION III - FINAL DECISION AND SIGNATURES <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners, after due deliberation, hereby <br />approves amendments to KCC 17.08 and 17.15, as shown in Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners, after due <br />deliberation, hereby approves amendments to KCC Title’s 17.08 and 17.15, as shown in Exhibit B. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners, after due <br />deliberation, hereby approves amendments to KCC 17.08 and 17.15, as shown in Exhibit C. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners, after due <br />deliberation, hereby approves amendments to KCC 12 as shown in Exhibit D.
