April 28th, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Brett <br />Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Board members absent: Vice-Chairman Cory Wright <br /> <br />Others: IT Director Doug Fessler; Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney; <br />Network/System Admin III Bill David; Admin Assistant Grant Shimada <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING IT STUDY SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:02 a.m. Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Information Technology <br />Study Session. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no citizen comments. <br /> <br />Request Approval for Lumifi MDR Renewal IT <br /> <br />IT Director Doug Fessler requested for the Board to approve the renewal <br />of the County’s annual 1-year Lumifi (formerly Critical Insight) MDR <br />service. The Board had no questions and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith <br />motioned to approve the renewal. Chairman Laura Osiadacz and <br />Commissioner Wachsmith approved. Renewal passed; 2:0. <br /> <br />Discussion Lumifi Incident Response Development Plan IT <br /> <br />The IT department is working on a contract with Lumifi Cyber Inc. to <br />assess, develop, and train staff on how to respond to technology <br />related incidents and emergencies. Lumifi will provide a training <br />simulation that the Board was invited to participate in. This project <br />will be funded through the State & Local Cybersecurity Program Grant; <br />a state fund received by the Sheriff department who allocated a portion <br />for IT projects. Lumifi is currently drafting an SOW that IT will <br />process through the County’s legal team and submit to a BoCC Agenda <br />Session. <br /> <br />Discussion County’s Public Website Rebuild Project IT <br /> <br />The County’s intranet is now an outdated design with outmoded features <br />that can no longer provide the necessary services to accommodate the <br />County. Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney briefly explained that the <br />County’s intranet function is to act as an administrator for the public
