BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br /> DESIGNATING AN INTERIM ACTING COUNTY ENGINEER,NOT TO EXCEED <br /> SIX MONTHS <br /> WHEREAS: The County legislative authority of each county is required to employ a county road <br /> engineer(RCW 36.80.010); and <br /> WHEREAS: The County legislative authority of each county is required to collect an official bond <br /> (RCW 36.80.020)from a county road engineer upon employment; and <br /> WHEREAS: The County has begun the solicitation process for hiring a County Engineer;and <br /> WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works Director Josh Fredrickson is a licensed professional <br /> engineer in the State of Washington in good standing with the Washington State Board of <br /> Licensing; and <br /> WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners elects to name Josh Fredrickson, <br /> PE, under a county bond during his tenure as Interim Acting County Engineer. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br /> of the public, does hereby name Josh Fredrickson,PE, as Interim Acting County <br /> Engineer,beginning August 29, 2025 not to exceed six months. <br /> DATED this 25th day of August 2025,at Ellensburg,Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASIUNGTON <br /> Laura Osiadacz,Chairman <br /> Attest: <br /> ❑ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br /> Cory Wright,Vice-Chairman <br /> ❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
