KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT FOR <br />BOARD OF HEALTH <br />Public Health Office <br />BOARD OF HEALTH DATE: 9/18/25 <br />TOPIC: Indoor Air Quality Improvement presentation <br />ACTION REQUESTED: No Action — Information Only <br />LEAD STAFF: Rebekah Moon, Health Promotion Specialist II <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />No action recommended at this time. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />Rebekah Moon will provide an overview of the 2025 Portable Air Cleaner distribution project, <br />including: <br />• The history of air quality in Kittitas County. <br />• 2025 distribution efforts. <br />• And local partnerships that made this project a success. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Public Health Department has been able to distribute Portable Air Cleaners <br />(PAC) in limited quantities since 2021, when a partnership with DOH was established. Since <br />then, we have strived to continue distributing PAC units to community members around Kittitas <br />County.
