Personal Air Cleaners The Health Promotion team was able to distribute 194 Personal Air Cleaners and 25 DIY Air Cleaning Kits! We are thankful for KCPHD staff who were supportive of this project, and our community partners that were vital to making this project a success. From Rebekah Moon, "This work was accomplished as a team effort, with valuable support from several community partners, including Seedlings Head Start, Cie Elum-Roslyn School District, Fire District #6, KCHN, FISH Food Bank, and Upper County HopeSource. We also participated in several community events. These partnerships have been instrumental in helping us connect directly with Kittitas County community members through services they already utilize. They also provide valuable opportunities to share relevant education and resources in trusted, accessible spaces" Community Connect Day ■ We distributed 17 life jackets of various sizes for our Childhood Injury Prevention program. • We distributed 50 dental kits and 10 infant toothbrushes for our Access to Baby and Childhood Dentistry Program. • We were able to connect with many community members and give them resources on what KCPHD offers. Child Fatality Review Rebekah and Cambron presented at a national conference! Their abstract was accepted for an on -demand presentation for National Association for City and County Health Officials (NACCHO). Maternal Child Health In collaboration with the Kittitas County Event Center and the Kittitas County Breastfeeding Coalition, the Health Promotion team was able to successfully create a Breastfeeding "Quiet" Room, during that fair/rodeo this year. This room offers a quiet, clean and comfortable space for parents to feed and care for their baby. The room was well used, and the feedback thus far has been positive, with parents expressing gratitude for the thoughtfulness that foes into the creation on this room. Veteran Service Program • Our Veteran Services Officers (VSOs) attended the Serving Those Who Serve Conference in Yakima. It is an annual event that the Washington State Department of Veteran's Affairs (WDVA) puts on for VSOs and Veteran Programs to increase resource and work knowledge. Chelsey Loeffers also attended and was on a panel representing Kittitas County! ■ First Kittitas County Veteran Resource Fair work continues! The event is planned for the 3d weekend in April. The county is partnering with CWU and will host Veteran Resource Exhibits. Some of the vendors are VA Medical Providers, WDVA resources, HopeSource, Habitat for Humanity, FISH foodbank, haircuts, and many other resources. ■ Our first round of local data collection with VSP clients has been wrapped up. Working on finalizing the data with a report.
