This effort will
result in a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) identifying potential projects
which would result in increasing safety for all road users.
Due to the unique seasonal dynamics of Snoqualmie Pass, Public Works and our
consultants placed a strong emphasis on community engagement and feedback. A
Stakeholder group was created consisting of local members of the community including
residents and business owners, Washington State Department of Transportation
(WSDOT) maintenance and planning personnel, police agencies (including Washington
State Patrol and County Sheriff's office), the Local Fire District, and others with a vested
interest in improving safety in the area.
