Public Works staff have contacted local Fire Districts to explore alternative sources of <br />construction and fire suppression water; however, no viable options have been identified. <br />At this time, Kittitas County is prioritizing efforts to secure water for its own road <br />maintenance and construction operations. As a municipal water customer, we understand <br />that water accessed from the Upper County shop can be used to meet these needs. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Water used for county road maintenance will be billed at the higher municipal rates. <br />Public Works has not yet developed cost estimates for constructing an alternative fill <br />station. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />None. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Public Works "Work Session Staff Report", 2025 <br />
