PLAN PARTICIPATION <br />Updating this Plan involved assistance in identifying and evaluating hazards and mitigation actions from <br />five (5) main groups – Core Planning Team, Steering Committee, representatives from the participating <br />jurisdictions, members of the public, and other stakeholders. <br />1.5.1. Core Planning Team <br />The Core Planning Team consisted of key members from Kittitas County Public Works, Kittitas County <br />Public Health, Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office (Emergency Management), and staff from Integrated <br />Solutions Consulting (ISC). The Core Planning Team also served on the Steering Committee and helped <br />guide the planning process. Table 1-2 lists the Core Planning Team members from Kittitas County. <br />Table 1-2. Steering Committee <br />Hazard mitigation planning enhances collaboration and support among diverse parties whose interest <br />can be affected by hazard losses. A Hazard Mitigation Steering Committee (the Steering Committee) was <br />formed to oversee all phases of the planning process. <br /> <br />Throughout this Plan update, the Steering Committee agreed to meet as often as needed throughout the <br />planning process. The Core Planning Team facilitated each meeting, which addressed a set of objectives <br />based on the work plan established. All members of the Steering Committee were actively involved in <br />attending meetings and responsible for the following: <br />
