<br />INVITATION TO BID
<br />KITTITAS COUNTY HUNTZINGER ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS — PHASE 1
<br />KITTITAS COUNTY ELLENSBURG, WASHINGTON
<br />Sealed bids will be received by Kittitas County Public Works, at the reception desk located at 411 North Ruby Street, Suite
<br />1, Ellensburg, Washington until 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 07, 2025, and will then and there be opened and publicly
<br />read for the construction of the Huntzinger Road Safety Improvements — Phase 1 Project.
<br />All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in
<br />an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such
<br />contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid
<br />proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Kittitas County Public Works.
<br />The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding.

<br />Informational copies of maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the Kittitas County Public Works, 411
<br />North Ruby Street, Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926.
<br />The Kittitas County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4)
<br />and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to
<br />this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to
<br />this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an
<br />award.
<br />This project has been evaluated by WSDOT Local Programs, and setting a mandatory DBE and training hour goal was
<br />deemed not appropriate.
<br />It is anticipated that all utility relocation will be completed by October 1, 2025, therefore, physical work on the project shall
<br />begin after this date, but not later than October 31, 2025.
<br />The improvement for which bids will be received is described below:
<br />The work to be performed within 95 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed, consists of furnishing all materials,
<br />equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for:
<br />This Contract provides for the improvement of Huntzinger Road, including installation of guardrail at identified hazard
<br />locations, installation of flexible guide posts to improve delineation, installation of improved signage, temporary traffic
<br />control and other work all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard
<br />Specifications.
<br />Engineer's estimated range for the project is $1,480,000.00 - $1,640,000.00.
