January 27th, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor Stephanie Hartung; IT Director <br />Doug Fessler; Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney; Network/System Admin <br />III Bill David; IT Admin Assistant Grant Shimada <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING IT STUDY SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:02 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened the Information Technology Study <br />Session. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no citizen comments. <br /> <br />Approval Request to Approve the County’s Microsoft True-Up IT <br /> <br />The IT department is making changes to their Microsoft True-Up to <br />comply with Microsoft’s licensing requirements and to provide staff <br />the ability to access the new Cayenta system and limited Microsoft <br />services. The County’s Microsoft account manager, CDW-G, is <br />performing a license audit to ensure the County’s licensing <br />compliance is satisfactory. The IT department received a 3-year <br />agreement quote for a total amount of $672k, annually $224k. Once <br />the audit is complete, IT will make adjustments based on this <br />report. Chairman Laura Osiadacz moved to approve the true-up. All <br />Commissioners approved; 3:0. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Cory Wright asked if there’s any saving benefits to <br />switching the County from using Webex to Teams. The IT department is <br />working on switching the County to Teams but IT Director Doug <br />Fessler informed the Board that the County is on a 4-year phone <br />system plan and court has a complicated audio design system that <br />will take time to deconstruct. <br /> <br />Discussion Social Media Account Direction IT <br /> <br />Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney requested Board direction on IT’s <br />concerns involving social media accounts. The former IT committee <br />created a policy for the IT department to be the approver and <br />overseer of social media account creation and usage. IT Director’s
