2. ProJect Desciptlon Summary: Provide a brief surnmary the project being proposed and <br />a general description of how it will address homelessness or affordable housing in <br />Kittitai County. Be sure and indlcate whether the proposal is intended to provide direct <br />client services or construction, maintenance, or improvement of housing facilities, <br />including a proposed tim€line for cornpletion. {300 words max.) <br />The proposa I is to develop a 50 unit affordable housing project tn the City of Cle Elum. The <br />units will be a mixturE of 2 bedroom units and 1 bedroom units including flats and town homes. <br />Unit set asides will be a mixture of 30% AMI unlts and 50% AMI units. Approxlmate housing <br />costs for residents will range from S42z to $ztZ for one bedrooms and 5513 to 5855 for two <br />bedrooms. These prices will normally increase over time typically tYc2% annualty, With the <br />median renl in Kittitas County being $L,192.00, we do not expect anv problems with filling <br />these units and expanding the County's ability to serve the Upper County low income <br />households for decades to come. The project will also be supported by HopeSource direct <br />assistance including; housing stability, food security, employment skill development, and <br />budgetlng. Further, a sou/ce of Permanent Supportive Housing funds will be requested at a <br />future tlme to suppoert homeless persons without income. <br />5
