2023 occurred after the updated signs were installed as part of the safety project. In 2024 <br /> there have been 3 reported crashes. Two crashes have been reported in 2025. Both <br /> crashes in 2025 involved a vehicle traveling east on Kittitas Highway. <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> Public Works has made improvements to the intersection since 2023. LED advance <br /> warning signs were installed in October of 2023, stop bars were installed at the stop signs <br /> in March of 2024, and vegetation was removed to improve sight lines in late August of <br /> 2024. The number of crashes reported in 2024 and to date in 2025 have decreased from <br /> the peak number reported in 2023. This intersection has been included in the 2025 safety <br /> plan for Highway Safety Improvement Plan funding(HSIP). Awards for HSIP are <br /> anticipated to be announced this fall. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> None <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> None <br />
