EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> CITY OF KITTITAS <br /> SOUTH INDUSTRIAL AREA LIFT STATION PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> The City of Kittitas includes a large undeveloped industrial area(526 acres) adjacent to <br /> I90 known as the South Industrial Area. The City has been approached by numerous <br /> developers wanting to establish industrial facilities and businesses in this area. In order <br /> to develop the South Industrial Area, significant wastewater collection system <br /> infrastructure is needed to pump and convey wastewater to the City's Wastewater <br /> Treatment Facility, which is at a higher elevation than this area. <br /> This scope of work provides for the preliminary design of a lift station(s) and associated <br /> force main(s) to provide sewer service to this area. <br /> More specifically, the work will include the following. <br /> DESIGN <br /> Task 1 —Complete Preliminary Engineering associated with the South Industrial Area <br /> Sewer Facilities (20% of Project Effort, complete by 10/17/2025) <br /> 1. Complete a design report to analyze <br /> a. Identify the South Industrial Area drainage basin(s). <br /> b. Analyze the existing land use and businesses in the drainage basin(s) <br /> c. Analyze the proposed land use and developments in the drainage basin(s). <br /> d. Determine the estimated peak hour sewage flow for the drainage basin(s). <br /> e. Determine lift station siting options and associated force main routing. <br /> f. Determine lift station sizing. <br /> g. Determine preferred alternative. <br /> h. Identify land acquisition needs. <br /> i. Identify permitting needs. <br /> j. Provide detailed cost estimates <br /> 2. Provide City Administrative and Planning support <br /> 3. Review Exit 115 lift station PSE (design by others). <br /> 4. Review/inspect Exit 115 Lift Station construction. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
