<br /> <br />Jesse Cox presented the change in temporary food establishment late fees and the change in process for <br />temporary events. Jesse explained that the change in process aligns with other jurisdictions. The BOCC <br />agreed with the proposed changes. <br /> <br />• Human Services contracting discussion and direction <br />The school districts were given a deadline of October 1, 2024, to respond with intent to utilize <br />funding from the 1/10th of 1% funding. There are two school districts that have not responded. Staff <br />asked for direction on how to move forward. Commissioner Wachsmith volunteered to follow up <br />with Ellensburg School District and Commissioner Wright will contact Kittitas School District. <br /> <br />• Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson provided updates regarding flu/covid in the community and discussed vaccine <br />rates in schools. <br /> <br />Other Business <br />• HopeSource funding discussion <br /> <br />Chelsey Loeffers presented four Hope Source project proposals: <br />• Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project Program Support <br />• Senior Support and Advocacy Program <br />• Rapid Rehousing <br />• Permanent Supportive Housing <br />After discussion, the BOCC directed staff to move forward with the approval process for the two ongoing <br />HopeSource projects, Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project and Senior Support and Advocacy <br />Program, and to hold on the other projects because additional discussion is needed. <br /> <br />Concluded at 10:47 am <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, BOCC Chair <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br /> Erin Moore, Clerk
