We plan to do the same in 2025, though the quantity will change depending on artist needs. As indicated in 4.2, we also want to partner with a hotel to provide tickets. rooms and a shuttle service. That hasn't been possible in the past, but we will work towards that goal again lor 2025. o 5l Future Plans Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.* 2025 is the event's 4th year after Jazz in the Valley effectively ended because of COVID-19. We are currently struggling with making money given various jssues. but we are still self-sustaining. We took a few years off from asking for lodging tax because we were breaking even, but we are at the point again where we are looking at va.ious options to rnake the event a functional break even event again- The main reason we've identified is the lack of a central communal area. Rotary Pavilion was used for lhe Jazz in the Valley event for over 20 years. When the City announced construction, it either made the event too uncedain to use for the new event in 2A2212023 and in 2024 the area was completely closed. 2025 will bring back the use of th js main area, which will certainly help overall atiendance. Some ideas include: - looking at a bigger name headliner artist for 2025 to attract a wider audience - reducing ticket prices - padnering with a hotel for ticketsllodginglshuttle service - closing down a block next to Unity Park to host a street fair and poientially a wine tasting event (4th between Main and Pearl OR Pearl between 4th and Sth?) 250n.ha.ai:1er linri!
