We hope to receive funding for advertising from NKC Tribune Matching Ad <br />Sponsorship Program. The NKC Tribune has a matching dollar for advertising in their newspaper. li is a dollar-for-dollar match, a <br />fantastic deal. Their program requires us to apply for an individual adve(isement (or series of ads) at the time of request. Our <br />events and meetings have individual ads, we don'i have a set ad that we use throughout the year. We have a close working <br />relationship with the owners of this business and provide them with interesling and relevant information for their viewership to <br />publish throughout the year. lf they continue to offer this program, we are confident we will be grateful recipienis. <br />The State of Washingion's Department ol Historic Preservation has a grant program for Historic Cemeteries that comes out <br />every two years. With our assistance, the Veterans Cemetery received a grant this year to make major upgrades to their <br />cemetery. This funding is for capital improvements only. <br />We will continue io seek funding from other sources. Our past experience is that mosi other grants are restricted for specific <br />projects and usually are not for events and advertising. <br />2500 character limil <br />Response 8.3: What changes will be made if funding for your request is not available or recommended?* <br />Past LTAC funding has provided the oppoduniiy for us to create new events and to expand our reach ouiside of Kittitas County. <br />This funding has also assisted us with scaling up our efforts and allowed us to grow our free events such as the King Coal <br />Ceremony and our guest speakers. lf we don't receive LTAC funding tor 2025 we will scale back our plans.
