Response 4.2: Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County*
We promote our business partners by including their logos in our advertlsing, programs, signs, posters, flyers, and banners.
These items are used prior to the event, during the event and post event. We create a "Thank You" ad after each of our events
to recognize our partners and those businesses that we have collaborated with. At the Roslyn Cemetery we have a poster
displayed year-round that includes our individual donors as well as our public and corporate partners and sponsors. We have
also encouraged people to utilize businesses with prizes and gifts from those businesses (i.e., door prizes as a result of the
lodging surveys, auction items, etc.). Banners have also been hung up for our local sponsors at our events. With our new
sponsorship plan we are also working wiih local businesses to increase visibility through use of social media.
2500 characler l;nril
Response 4.3: ls there a host hotel for your event or grant project? lf yes, list the hotel, *
;No
':) Yes Commetto Boarding
House, Robin's Nest
Vacation Rental, Best
Western Snowcap lnj
5l Future Plans
Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining, lnclude any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
The LTAC funding we have received the past three years has assisted us with growing our outreach outside of Kiititas County
and given us lhe opportunity to establish new cultural events. lt has also provided us time to come up wiih models for long lerm
sustainabiliiy of our activities and events. The process of filling out the application, aitending the workshops, and attending the
in-person rnterviews have provided opporiunities to learn from others and inrprove our operations.
ln the past we have had a few sponsors provide cash and/or in-kind donations for our largest event, the Croaiian Picnic. This
year we implemented a new sponsorship package with a pilot pro.ject for our summer events where we targeted a few past
business suppoders. Of the ten businesses solicited, seven agreed to support us either through cash or in-kind donations. Five
of those businesses supported us as "All Events" Sponsors. With their feedback, we are making changes and will launch a full-
scale sponsorship package for all of 2025.
The Croatian Picnic funds our other free events which are open to the public including the King Coal Ceremony, events at the
Roslyn Cemetery. and guest speakers. The Heritage Club has a scholarship in place that is awarded to a local high school
senior which is also funded by proceeds from the Croatian Picnic. Our goal is to have all events be self-sustaining and able to
fund our free events. Funds from our events also help support our role of maintainrng the Roslyn Cemetery and Coal Miners'
Memorial.
We closely evaluate our cosis after each evenl. This year we changed the pricing structure of admission for the Croatian Picnic.
This was reflected as a direct increase to our net profits.
2500 characler linit
Application Questions: Part 4 o
6l Additional lnformation
