2 <br />meet or exceed them.It’s our practice to measure value by improving a built <br />environment’s constructability and structural quality. <br />IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABILITY <br />DCI is devoted to reducing the impact our designs have on the environment.As a <br />part of our corporate responsibility,in addition to our years of sustainable design, <br />Living Building Challenge and LEED®Certified projects,we have signed onto the <br />SE2050 Commitment Program,which includes a goal of reducing and eliminating <br />embodied carbon in our projects by 2050. <br />DCI’S commitment includes participating in the design process by informing <br />stakeholders about the environmental impact of design choices and encouraging <br />further discussion about sustainable implications of our projects beyond code <br />minimums and green building rating system requirements. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The project consists of the renovation of the existing Ellensburg Rodeo Arena located <br />in Ellensburg,WA.The project consists of renovating the northwest portion of the <br />existing facility with new restrooms,a bar area,seating,elevated grandstands and <br />grandstand roof. <br />This proposal is based on the email dated january 28,2025,with the “Total Estimated <br />Bid Amount”of $12.2 million. <br />SCOPE OF ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />DCI’S proposed scope of structural engineering services is described below.Items not <br />specifically identified in this proposal are outside of DCI’s scope. <br />1.PRIMARY STRUCTURAL SERVICES <br />I <br />DCI will provide structural engineering design <br />services for the Primary Structural Frame,defined as the primary Ioadbearing <br />components of the building,such as foundations,basement walls,columns,floor <br />and roof framing,and lateral systems to resist wind and seismic forces.As part of <br />Basic Services,DCI will: <br />a.Perform structural analysis and design to prepare structural Construction <br />Documents,including plans,sections,and details. <br />b.Coordinate with the permitting jurisdiction to help obtain a building permit. <br />c.Provide structural specifications in the form of general notes on the drawings. <br />Coordination of the general notes with the project specifications will be <br />accomplished by red-mark or electronic editing of standard CSI specification <br />files provided by the architect. <br />d.Attend design meetings and coordinate with the other members of the design <br />team.We have assumed in-person meetings will be held in Spokane. <br />e.Provide support and document clarifications during the bidding process. <br />Washington I Oregon I California I Texas I Alaska I Colorado I <br />Montana <br />I Delaware I <br />Pennsylvania
