Storage room for other departments 1000sgft <br />Options for Moving Forward: <br />Public Health, Veterans services & Coroner: <br />Duringthe review performed by the Public Health Director both Public Health and <br />the Coroner should be co -located to share spaces. <br />Public Health has found that they could reduce space needs but will need to keep <br />shared space for partial remote work. <br />At this time the County does not have another space that these departments would <br />fit in. Rental rates in the County have been running from $.85 to $1.50/sgft, but I haven't <br />found a location that would accommodate the current needs or even the needs with partial <br />remote work. <br />Possibility of placing portables at the Airport would require minimum of three <br />2880sgft buildings. The three buildings would be $1,200,000, plus site improvements and <br />utility hookups. In addition, we would need to pay the land lease amount to the airport for <br />the property. <br />Probation: <br />Reviewed the existing offices behind the Auditorium and believe they can make it <br />work with some modifications to the space and their business practices. <br />1) Need to contract out Urine Sample collections. <br />2) Would you want the space modified to include a walk-up customer window <br />installed accessing the hallway. They would also want to install chairs in the <br />hallway for customers while waiting to meet with the Probation officers. <br />3) Will need an intake area, would like to use the current law library. This would <br />require working with the Prosecutor to find the requirements for the law library <br />before relocating. <br />DLR Group Cost: <br />When the DLR Group prepare their cost estimates it looked at building a <br />Courthouse, County Government Building and storage. The table below will show the <br />difference cost for reference. A County Government Building was estimated at <br />$25,606,000 without soft cost. <br />
