5| Future Plans
The RDA promotes tourism by providing valuable resources such as the RDA website, social media, printed materials, ads, the
KC Chamber's Central Washington Visitors Guide, the Tribune's Explore the Kittitas County guide, a local Visitors Map, and the
Roslyn Past-Port.
We also encourage visitors to explore the centralwashingtonoutdoor.com county tourism website and the Chamber of
Commerce website, where they can find comprehensive information on staying, dining, and playing in Kittitas County.
Additionally, our RDA website features links to both tourism and Chamber websites in the footer, ensuring easy access to these
essential resources throughout the year.
To optimize our outreach, the RDA’s marketing team regularly reviews social media insights and website performance data to
quantify the effectiveness of our online marketing channels. Many of our followers originate from cities outside Kittitas County,
including Gig Harbor, Wenatchee, Spokane, Seattle, Yakima, Tri-Cities, Kirkland, Tacoma, Bellingham, and Walla Walla, Oregon,
Alaska, and California regions, indicating that Roslyn is well-recognized across all Washington State and beyond.
To attract a broader audience beyond local attendees, we are strategic in directing our marketing efforts towards demographics
outside of Kittitas County. By focusing on attracting visitors from neighboring counties and states, we aim to enhance Roslyn's
visibility as a compelling destination and foster greater economic growth for our local businesses.
Application Questions: Part 3
The RDA works with the KC Chamber of Commerce and Central Washington Outdoor County tourism initiatives to effectively
promote various events to a diverse audience. Visitors can find resources such as the Visitor's Guide, Kittitas County maps, and
the Tribune's visitor guide. In addition, we leverage the Chamber's communication channels to highlight RDA's efforts to the
broader communities. RDA materials are also available at visitor centers outside the county, enhancing our outreach efforts.
Building solid relationships is key to our success. The RDA actively connects with downtown business owners, City and County
personnel, Rotary, the School District, Forterra, Roslyn Ronald Heritage Club, Yakama Nation, and other organizations. These
partnerships foster a collaborative spirit, allowing us to shine a light on our collective endeavors and showcase the vibrant
community of Roslyn to both residents and visitors alike.
The RDA website, print materials, and social media platforms showcase Roslyn's local businesses, lodging, and services,
emphasizing the town's appeal as a unique and friendly tourism destination.
To reach county-wide lodging establishments, restaurants, and businesses, we promote the KC Chambers and
centralwashingtonoutdoor.com using QR codes on printed materials and links on the RDA website. We actively advocate for
Roslyn businesses, the City, and the County by leveraging the four corners of the Washington Main Street Program: Promotion,
Organization, Design, and Economic Development. This strategic approach enhances the visibility of the county's activities and
offerings that support the collective growth and sustainability of both our county and Roslyn's local economy, ensuring that we
continue to thrive as an inviting and vibrant destination for visitors.
