Response 1.1: Please provide a description of your project/event.* <br />Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's event/project.* <br />The funds requested will be instrumental in advancing our marketing efforts, essential for achieving the RDA's mission to <br />promote Roslyn as a premier tourist destination. We aim to enhance our community's profile and attract new visitors to <br />experience Roslyn’s unique offerings by utilizing compelling storytelling, targeted outreach, and strategic advertising. We will <br />highlight its rich history, charming atmosphere, and vibrant local culture, which make it an exceptional place to visit. This <br />multifaceted approach draws visitors for specific events and creates lasting impressions that encourage future visits and sustain <br />support for local businesses in the long run. <br />Roslyn is a vibrant destination that attracts thousands of visitors yearly with its rich history, historic buildings, eclectic dining, <br />unique shopping, and outdoor activities like biking and hiking. The RDA has been pivotal in revitalizing the area since 2005 and <br />works diligently to expand outreach and market downtown as an attractive spot for locals and tourists. <br />We seek Lodging Tax funding to enhance our marketing efforts and events showcasing Roslyn. This funding will support year- <br />round marketing and events that highlight the Roslyn's charm. <br />Promoting Roslyn through collaboration with the Chamber’s tourism office, local businesses, and other partners contributes to <br />the RDA’s success. Our marketing initiatives have maintained an average of 25,000 people annually, excluding the successful <br />Roslyn’s Sunday Farmers Market, which averages 3,000 visitors every Sunday for ten weekends. <br />Looking ahead to 2025, in the pipeline, the RDA will be developing the third video production – Roslyn A Place Called Home – <br />Events. Reprint of the Past Port to Roslyn and Yakama Nation Tourism Brochures and a community digital map that aims to <br />encapsulate Roslyn's unique areas. The emphasis is on boosting visitor engagement and strengthening the local economy, <br />making Roslyn a must-visit destination year-round.
