Response 1.1: Please provide a description of your project/event.*
Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's event/project.*
The Ellensburg Music Festival is a vibrant nonprofit event held annually in downtown Ellensburg, Washington, and is known for
its diverse range of musical genres, community atmosphere, and volunteer-driven operation. The 2025 festival dates are July
25-26, 2025. This is a beloved tradition in the area previously known as "Jazz in the Valley”, though this event is only in its 4th
year branded as Ellensburg Music Festival. The 2025 festival will target a different audience and format as compared to prior
years, as we are looking to bring a $20,000+ headliner band who is well known in an attempt to increase tourism and
attendance.
The event will span multiple venues, including galleries and an outdoor stage, creating a unique, walkable experience where
attendees can enjoy live performances across various genres that may include jazz, blues, rock, soul, funk, country, or Latin
music.
This grassroots organization ensures that attendees experience a wide variety of musical performances in an intimate,
community-focused setting.
The festival features both emerging and established artists, making it a must-attend event for music lovers. In 2024, the lineup
included acts such as Too Slim and the Taildraggers (rock/blues), the Joel Astley Band (blues), and Michael Powers (jazz guitar),
among others.
In addition to music, the Ellensburg Music Festival contributes to the local economy by attracting tourists, with local restaurants,
hotels, and attractions benefiting from the influx of visitors. The event also provides an opportunity for students and volunteers to
gain experience in event planning, hospitality, and music production, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to community growth.
The festival not only offers musical performances but also hosts dance lessons, outdoor activities, and educational programs.
The event draws people from across the region, making it an important cultural gathering for Ellensburg.
2500 character limit
Note: You MUST be present at the Q&A meeting to qualify for funding.
https://youtu.be/4SC5u1BUnaE
Response 1.3: List of Intended Use of Funds *
Note: This language will be related in the contract if awarded.
The CLTAC cannot approve funds not listed under RCW 67.28.1816.
