3| Impact
Response 3: Describe how you will promote your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
4| Collaboration
Targeted Marketing Strategy for Junk-tiquen Vintage Markets
Centralized Location Advantage: Ellensburg’s prime location in Washington makes it an ideal destination for shoppers and
vendors from all corners of the state and beyond. Our targeted marketing approach aims to attract tourists from at least 50 miles
away, ensuring a diverse audience for each event.
Marketing Focus Areas: We will strategically allocate advertising resources in key regions, including:
• Western Washington: Targeting urban centers and communities to draw in enthusiastic vintage shoppers.
• Central Washington: Focusing on areas such as Wenatchee, Moses Lake, and the Tri-Cities.
• Eastern Washington: Engaging potential attendees in Spokane and surrounding regions.
• Out-of-State Markets: Extending our reach into Oregon and Idaho to attract additional visitors.
Vendor Collaboration: Our diverse vendor base draws from locations like Sandpoint, ID; Hermiston, OR; Waterville, Moses Lake,
Puyallup, Edmonds, and Spokane. This not only brings unique items but also each vendors own loyal customer followings.
These vendors play a vital role in promoting Junk-tiquen in their respective areas, further expanding our reach.
Community and Tourism Integration: We recognize the importance of promoting the broader Kittitas County area. Junk-tiquen’s
website and social media platforms will actively support tourism campaigns for Ellensburg, Kittitas, Cle Elum, Roslyn, and the
entire county. By providing links to local accommodations, dining options, and county-wide events, we aim to enhance the visitor
experience and encourage longer stays.
Cross-Promotion Strategies: To maximize our marketing impact, we will:
• Partner with local events collaborating to cross-promote and share audiences.
• Flyers and promotional materials will be distributed at various events across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, increasing
visibility.
By leveraging these strategies, we aim to create a dynamic atmosphere at Junk-tiquen while supporting the local economy and
tourism initiatives in Kittitas County.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 3
