KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: April 1, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Public <br />Works Water Resource Manager to Sign an Amendment to <br />Grant Agreement No. WRWBP-2123-KiCPWD-00010. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County and the Department of Ecology entered into <br />Grant Agreement No. WRWBP-2123-KiCPWD-00010, as <br />authorized by Kittitas County Resolution No. 2023-169. This <br />grant agreement allowed Kittitas County to purchase water <br />right No. S4-83608-J. Kittitas County and the Department <br />of Ecology are preparing an amendment to expand the <br />budget and scope of the original grant agreement. This <br />amendment would add $1,020,500 and enable Public <br />Works to pay Solid Waste for water right S4-83608-J. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Authorize the Public <br />Works Water Resource Manager to Sign an Amendment to <br />Grant Agreement No. WRWBP-2123-KiCPWD-00010. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager. <br />
