Additional <br />department-related duties may be assrgned as required. <br />MTNIMUM QUAL|FtCAT|ONS: <br />r High Schoot diptoma or GED equivalent. <br />. US citizenship or lawfuI permanent resident. <br />r Two (2) years of work experience in a professional office environment. <br />o Vatid Washington State Driver's License. <br />o Must pass at[ required Civit Service examinations. <br />o Must possess the fottowing certifications (or equivatents as recognized by the Sheriff), or have the <br />abitity to obtain certifications within one (1) year of hire: <br />o Cettebrite Certified Operator <br />o Cettebrite Certif ied Physicat Anatyzer <br />o Magnet Forensics Certified Graykey Examiner <br />o A criminat history and background check witt be performed on quatified appticants. Convictions may <br />preclude candidates f rom emptoyment in certain circumstances. Factors such as retativity to the <br />position, age at time of the offense, seriousness and nature of the viotation, and evidence of <br />rehabititation witt be taken into consideration. <br />REQ U I RED KNOWLEDGE/SKI LLS/ABI LITI ES <br />Demonstrated proficiency in the use of digitat etectronic devices, programs, and systems. <br />At teast intermediate computer skilts utitizing both Microsoft and Appte operating systems. <br />Ctear, correct, and effective Engtish tanguage written communications. <br />Ability to maintain confidentiatity with respect to the area of work. <br />Abitity to work a futt-time, 40-hour work week. <br />Abitity to work independentty and as part of a team. <br />Abitity to estabtish professionat and cooperative working relationships with emptoyees, other agencies, <br />and the pubtic. <br />a <br />a <br />a <br />a <br />o <br />a <br />a <br />PREFERRED QUAL|FtCAT|ONS: <br />r Associate's degree in digitat forensics or related f ietd, or an equivatent combination of education and <br />experience which provides knowledge, skitts and abitities sufficient to [earn and perform the duties of a <br />DFI. <br />o Advanced computer skitts utitizing both Microsoft and Appte operating systems. <br />o Knowtedge of muttipte operating systems inctudingWindows, Linux, OSX, Android, IOS and others. <br />o lntermediate skitts in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outtook, and PowerPoint. <br />o Knowtedge of principtes and procedures of record keeping. <br />Work is performed both in Kittitas County facitities and in other locations as dictated by investigations. <br />Work may be highty independent with timited supervision. This position requires sustained sitting and <br />protonged periods of computer operation. Must be abte to use standard office equipment and other <br />toots/equipment pertinent to the work required.
