We started up our Childhood Immunization Clinic at KCPHD. Our first clinic date was February 24th <br />We have them scheduled weekly through Marchand are working on the schedule for April and May. <br />We offer childhood vaccines by appointment only. <br />Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Program <br />Whitney was able to participate with a new provider training provided through University of <br />Washington and DCYF Complex Needs Training Series - Spring Quarter 2025. She will also be <br />attending future trainings with The Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families <br />(DCYF) to support and train childcare workers who care for young children with complex needs. <br />These trainings will be facilitated by the UW Haring Center and focus on deepening the provider's <br />knowledge in several areas related to individualizing instruction and supporting social -emotional <br />Learning. <br />Harm Reduction and Overdose Prevention Program <br />From January 1, 2025, to present we have distributed 122 doses of Naloxone in our <br />community. In addition, we have been approved by the DOH for Naloxone self -serve boxes <br />along with the naloxone to fill them. We are working on our wish list of places we would like <br />to have these distribution boxes in our community and look forward to working with <br />community partners across the County to increase access to Naloxone. <br />On February 6th, Lauren tabled at the Ellensburg High School Prevention Coalition Resource <br />Fair presenting our harm reduction program with local behavioral Health and Substance <br />Use resources. She distributed Naloxone kits along with health promotion resources and <br />other fun swag. <br />■ Dora Beukelman is currently working with 5 participants who she serves as a peer navigator <br />to help with job applications, housing, treatment and other services and resources <br />participants may need. <br />Upcoming Community Forum <br />The Harm Reduction program is preparing for our community forum with local medical providers <br />prescribing Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and to answer questions community <br />members may have. The forum is scheduled for May 8th1h at 7pm at Hal Holmes, and BOH <br />members are highly encouraged to share the information and attend if interested. <br />Potential New Funding <br />We have been accepted as one of the sites for a continuation of the NEXUS project. NEXUS is a <br />national research study working to capture surveillance information from people who use drugs on <br />HIV/Hepatitis C status, other health issues associated with injection drug use, and to better inform <br />understanding of barriers to accessing prevention and treatment programs. KCPHD was selected <br />as a NEXUS partner in 2020, and is excited to be offer the opportunity to partner again. Currently we <br />are working through the contract negotiation process with support from the Prosecutor's Office. <br />Training and Professional Development <br />IN <br />
