Alder Street 0 Union Gap, WA 98903-0009 �1 (S09) 575-2490 <br />February 1, 2025 <br />Christine McCroskey <br />RE: Inspection to Ryegrass Septage Land Application Sites <br />Dear Ms. McCroskey, <br />Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention regarding improper septage spreading at <br />the Ryegrass permitted sites during the period from January 19, 2025 to January 24, 2025. I <br />conducted a thorough inspection to the permitted sites including Ryegrass Septage Evaporation <br />Lagoons on January 31, 2025, to investigate the allegations. <br />To my observations, the septage land application sites and the lagoons have been frozen and <br />snow covered (photos enclosed). There was no evidence of non-compliance with WAC 173- <br />308-270, Septage applied to the land, or improper septage application when the weather and/or <br />soil conditions were not allowable.
